Summary of the issue you are facing:

The Calendar/’Upcoming events’ widget doesn’t seem to be customisable. I would like to be able to see events from only a subset of the calendars I’m subscribed to.

Otherwise the dozens of all day events (like ‘Fred is out of the office’) from the leave calendar displace the actual events that are interesting.

Also, I always see a ‘No more events today’ icon if any calendar has no events; even if other calendars do have events for today. This doesn’t make sense.

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. Make sure you have more than one calendar active in the calendar app, with many unimportant all-day events in one of the calendars; and some important timed events in another

  2. View the desktop widget. All day events say ‘in one hour’; plus there’s a ‘No More Events Today’ icon; plus the interesting events (the ones I have to be at) are missing.

It’d be really nice to be able to choose which calendars to view in the widget; and maybe make it possible to have more than one widget with different calendars.
