How to inform NC user about a scheduled downtime?

Hi,

is there a way to inform all of our NC users about a schedules downtime (e.g. for an update installation) ?
We have a mix of local and LDAP users. Is there a way to send all NC users an E-Mail ?
Or maybe put a note on the login page ?
If s.th. like that doesn’t exist this would be a feature request.

Couldn’t you use notifications with the Announcement Center?
