How to disable update check in Nextcloud Desktop Client

Hello,

I’ve found on this owncloud site this page that gives instruction to disabling the check for updates on the Desktop Sync Client.

In our environment our users do not have admin access to update the desktop client so our Admin Staff will update the Nextcloud for them during a scheduled change window. I’d like to be able to not display this update message for our users. Would the instructions to modify the registry from the owncloud document site work for Nextcloud Desktop Sync Client?

I’ve navigated to registry location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software but I’m not finding a Nextcloud folder.

On my 64-bit machine is a HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Nextcloud GmbH\Nextcloud as well as the Policies folder.

Would adding skipUpdateCheck to this location stop the desktop client from checking for updates?
