How should the photosphereviewer work?

I have installed the new version 0.0.3 which should be suitable for NC 16: https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/files_photospheres

I have an equirectangular panorama 360x180° including XMP metadata but the files_photosperes app does not display it as photosphere. Google Photo does display it as photosphere.

According to the manual https://github.com/nextcloud/files_photospheres i have already renamed the panorama to PANO_xxx.jpg

What is wrong there?
