How do you parse your large log files for sharing errors on the forum? Share your favorite ways

Continuing the discussion from Syncronization problem:

I’d like to resolve this once and for all. We see this way too often, so I’d like to get some suggestions for simple instructions on how to give an unsure user some methods for parsing through their large log files in order to share the errors in their support requests. Once we have some clear instructions we can add them to the #support categories.
