How do I rename a calendar?

Nextcloud version (eg, 18.0.2): 18.0.6
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Debian
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache
PHP version (eg, 7.1):7.2

The issue you are facing:
I would like to rename a calendar, but I don’t know how.

Just go the calendar list on the left and select the three dots right to the calendar name.
Isn’ there a option to rename your selected calendar?

Ok. I am using NC v19.0.0 and calendar version 2.0.3

Are you using same calendar version?

Yes, 2.0.3
I even tried as admin of the Nextcloud instance, and changing the name was still not an option.

Looks like there is an improvement in NC19.
See my screenshot:

I am able to rename calendars, but changes are not permanent and only seem to apply on my local machine for a given time.

how can you globally and permanently edit calendar names?

Hello @tobi42 ,

you are replying to an older topic and do not mention any version info of your environment. Such information is always helpful.

Did some testing for you:

  1. Just added a new calender using webinterface of my NC22.0.0.
  2. Sync it to my iphone. Correct name is shown.
  3. Then renamed it on my iphone and changes are visible on my web UI of my NC.
  4. Then renamed it on the web UI and changes are visible on my iPhone.

All changes are persistent.

My calendar app is v2.3.0
