Help with Encryption

Hi All,

I’m a complete noob and I signed up for Nextcloud through a partner server (cloudama.com). When I go to my settings/privacy, I see that two admins have access to my files and there is no option for me to turn on “encryption” in the security section. Can you help me with how to enable encryption so that no admin can access my files?

Hi @notevenonce, Only the admins of the nextcloud server can turn on encryption on nextcloud. Maybe you should check if your nextcloud host doesn’t encrypt the data in a different way than the one offered by nextcloud.
