Group admin permissions

Hi all,

We have the following use case: there are groups, and each group should have an “administrator”, who can create new users only in the group she is administrator of. In other words, if user A is admin of group G, when she creates a new user B, this user will be assigned automatically to group G, and the admin A won’t be able to assign user B to another group.

Is there a way to achieve that or should we develop an app for it?

This is a feature of the upcoming Nextcloud 12. :wink:

What about adding users to group. Is it possible to allow Group Admins to to this?
We have users in multiple groups and we don’t want Group Admins to create new accounts if users are already present on the Cloud.
