I’m using Nextcloud 30, and I have issues with folders shared to groups.
I’m surprised I didn’t find any related issues in this forum… Forgive me if I didn’t search well enough.
I do not use the “Group folder”'s app because I want to have a single user as a “service account” to manage the permissions (and also share some single files to multiple groups, something that cannot be done with the Group folder app.
Well.
When I share a folder with a group, all users from the group can see the folder. But if a new user joins the group, he doesn’t inherit the share.
I see in the oc_share that the folder is shared with the group.
I need to remove the share and add it again to the group for the new user to see the folder.
I’m not sure to understand why Nextcloud doesn’t add the share to the user, even if the “info that the folder is shared with the group” is in the database…
Is it a configuration issue on my side, or is it a “normal”/“expected” behavior?
