Firefox issues - combo boxes don't work

I’m using Firefox with NextCloud and I noticed that combo-boxes don’t work. For example, if I create a new user and try to select a group for them, the browser won’t let me select from the drop down. This works in Chromium.

I do have several extensions installed in Firefox:

  • Privacy Badger
  • uBlock Origin
  • Ghostery
  • Facebook Container

Nextcloud version (eg, 18.0.2): 18.04
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 18.04
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): 2.4.29-1ubuntu4.13
PHP version (eg, 7.1): 7.2.24-0ubuntu0.18.04.4

Firefox: 76.0.1 on Fedora 31

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Create a new user
  2. Open the group combo box and try to select a group
  3. You can’t select a group

Please disable all extensions or create new blank new Firefox profile and try it again. You have to make sure that it isn’t caused by any of these extensions first.

At least the extensions I know from your list allow you to whitelist domains. Since nextcloud does not load any external scripts it should be safe to disable the plugins for the domain of your cloud.

I recently had issues with the Group folders app, caused by the Ghostery Extension in Firefox.
After whitelisting my Nextcloud Domain in Ghostery, issues were gone.
Maybe a similar case here?

Yeah, it was an extension. Inthougthni also had them enabled in other browsers, but I didn’t.
