Hi everyone,
Findling is a new app pair in the store: Findling (Apps) and Findling Backend (External Apps, via AppAPI).
What it does:
- Full text search in the normal search bar
- OCR for scanned PDFs and images (German, English, French)
- Semantic search: finds documents through paraphrases
- Permission-checked results, zero configuration, fully local, no telemetry
The point of the combination: one install covers the three ways a document gets lost. A scanned contract is found by its content (OCR), an exact phrase by the word index, and a document whose wording you forgot by a paraphrase (semantic). All in the normal search bar, on 4 GB RAM and 2 cores, amd64 and arm64, Nextcloud 33 to 35.
