Hello everyone, I have connected the CIFS external storage and configured it. Users can now store their files there. But there is a question. When they send files via chat in nextcloud talk, they are stored at the path /var/www/nextcloud/data/user/files/Talk. This consumes a lot of server space. Are there any workarounds?

welcome to the Nextcloud community! 
External storage is only an additional storage space for Nextcloud users. Talk Documents are always stored in a primary storage. There are ways to user remote file systems like s3 as primary storage but internal server space is default and most stable performant and recommended configuration.
