Support intro

Sorry to hear you’re facing problems :slightly_frowning_face:

help.nextcloud.com is for home/non-enterprise users. If you’re running a business, paid support can be accessed via portal.nextcloud.com where we can ensure your business keeps running smoothly.

In order to help you as quickly as possible, before clicking Create Topic please provide as much of the below as you can. Feel free to use a pastebin service for logs, otherwise either indent short log examples with four spaces:

Or for longer, use three backticks above and below the code snippet:

Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 25.0.2
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): nginx/1.18.0 (Ubuntu)
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 8.1

The issue you are facing:

blank files page with the error:
this.fileList is null

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? Y

Steps to replicate it:

  1. install nextcloud on 20.04
  2. do a dist-upgrade
  3. update nextcloud to the latest stable version
  4. open files page, and the files list is empty.

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:

https://pastebin.com/tYwezTBQ

The output of your config.php file in /path/to/nextcloud (make sure you remove any identifiable information!):

https://pastebin.com/Ms3xNw4a

The output of your Apache/nginx/system log in /var/log/____:

error.log empty during fetch
access.log: https://pastebin.com/42ySJK5j

Output errors in nextcloud.log in /var/www/ or as admin user in top right menu, filtering for errors. Use a pastebin service if necessary.

Unfortunately, I don’t see anything obvious in the logs (I’m not an expert). One easy thing you could try is to disable some of the apps. Perhaps there is some interference between apps that blocks the view (or changes the style that the files are present but invisible …). Also if you use theming, switch back to the default one if it changes anything.

thanks for your reply, after a while I guess my browser cache got cleared and I started to see the files again, maybe because I rebooted nextcloud a few times just for good measure, now the only two warnings / errors in console are that the OCA controller executed 5132 queries, and that the OCA/DAV/BackgroundJob recieved a folder instead of a file:

the rest seems to work fine now, sorry for not replying back earlier.
