Files Client gone

Hi everyone,

my linux files client ran fine for a year, but now, it’s not to be found neither in the task bar (is that what it’s called? the symbols in the lower right, with the volume icon etc) nor the task manager and it’s not syncing my folders.

I don’t remember which client i installed, but i think it’s the Appimage from here: Download and install Nextcloud

I can’t find the client in the app list menu. I’m relatively new to linux and sometimes confused where linux installs a program, so i can’t find it on the hard drive, either.

So… how do i bring it back?
Any help appreciated. Thank you,
Micha

You can try to use search tools, for example locate and try to find files containing Nextcloud (How to install the locate command? - Ask Ubuntu). Or it’s in your personal folder, or download folder.

Or if you use a terminal and try to start nextcloud, just with nextcloud. If then command is not found, then it might be the AppImage.

That helped, thank you!
