File sync location on Android

Hi, just started using NextCloud. I have selected some files and have them “synced” to my device however I am unable to find them.
I don’t see any files at all in data/Android/com.nextcloud.client in either files or cache.

Where are these files synced? I checked the settings in my app and that is where it says they’re supposed to be synced to.

Files are not physically synched until you manually download the files in the App’s file browser.

Then I’m confused what “sync” means if they’re not physically synced.
