File sharing merge with nextcloud's external storage and traditional internal network folder sharing

Hi all,

I have a idea for the nextcloud, can I use a nextcloud for a remote site user to sync a file to the external storage. At the same time, I share the external storage with SMB for internal user file sharing?

I’m very late with the answer.
YES of course! Doing that my self for almost two years with terrabytes of data between two continents. It works very well. I’m only limited the two ISPs interconnect bandwidth, sadly.
