File sharing for Talk guests

  • Nextcloud Server version: 31.0.6
  • Operating system and version: docker
  • Reverse proxy and version : caddy
  • Installation method: AIO

Summary of the issue you are facing:

If I invite users via shared link in talk they can only write text, but there is no upload for files.
Is there any possibility to allow them to upload files in the chat ?

The only way I found is the app “guests” and them allow them to use all apps (I didn’t found talk there), but I need to create an account first for everyone…

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. create a Talk chat
  2. invite someone (maybe yourself with other browser) via link
  3. try to send a file
