File conflict dialog not closing

Hello all,

I have a strange issue with nextcloud desktop.
I’ll describe it as well as possible (maybe a bit overdone for most, but it explains the indicators I followed)
When I “Open main dialog, I see I have a couple of file conflicts that nextcloud asks me te resolve. There is at least a button next to it with " Resolve conflict”. Although the text below it “Server version downloaded, local copy renamed and not uploaded” seems to indicate there was already a resolution.

When I click " Resolve Conflict", I get to the “Sync conflict” dialog, but whatever I select, “Keep local version”, " Keep server version", “Keep both”, the dialog stays open. Only if I pres “Cancel”, the dialog disappears. But of course the conflict remains in the list of the app

I am on Ubuntu 24.04 Nextcloud server 30.0.5 and Nextcloud-desktop 3.14.4. But I have seen this issue for a while now.

Do I misread the message? Or is something wrong with the sync conflict dialog?

Regards

Bert

I went through the changelogs, if there was an issue like this solved:

but I didn’t find something exactly matching this issue, however there were a few issues regarding the conflict handling.

I played around with a text file and the desktop client 3.15.3 on Win11, and after conflict, I was able to restore the server’s version and keeping the local one as well (and the dialog going away after that).

Before you submit a bug report, I’d test with a current version and also check for errors, or check if an application is blocking the restoring process (I used Notepad++ for editing, which is not blocking the writing of the text file by another process).
