Federated servers and activity

I have 2 federated servers, and all works fine : User1 and user2 from server1 can read and write files in a shared folder created on server2… But they don’t see activity and comments on the files.

Are comments and activity operational in a federated environment ?

Comments are not yet federated. Just on the future roadmap
You can subscribe to an activity feed via RSS feed in News app. Unfortunately, it does not support password authentication.
Keep in mind that files are not mirrored across federated servers, just your devices.

That would actually be the perfect usecase for ActivityPub as already implemented (but semi abandoned) in the Social app.
