Hello,
When I want to set a password for a share, I get the error message “failed to update share”.
The log file then also contains the solution:
“The password must be at least 10 characters long. The password is included in the list of compromised passwords. Please choose a different password. ”
Why is this not displayed directly in the error message?
I can only see this in the log as an administrator, not as a normal user.
I use Nextcloud 30.0.4

I have create an Issues on Github.
The whole concept of showing error messages in a small label at the top right cornber of the screen, far away from the point where the error was caused is not very good.
Plus the error messages disappear after a few seconds, so most users will not see the message.
Real error messages should be modal and only disappear after the user has acknowledged them.
I faced this issue too.
Totally true on how to present this error. Especially this one. If you missed the message, you share a file without password and without knowing it.
