External storage: User not logged in

Nextcloud version (eg, 10.0.2): 12.0.2
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 16.04): 16.04
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache
PHP version (eg, 5.6): 7.1
Is this the first time you’ve seen this error?: Yup

The issue you are facing:

Although external storage appears to be working fine (SFTP connection to share), my log is filling with login errors.

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:

I’ve had the connection working for a number of days, and the log is therefore absolutely rammed with this same error.

  1. Do I need to fix it?
  2. Can I suppress it?
  3. Is this limited to SFTP, should I switch to another protocol? (NFS is not available?)

@jospoortvliet @nickvergessen @MorrisJobke any of you have an idea here?

@icewind Any idea?

Thanks @MorrisJobke… and another one - where’s NFS support for external storage? I don’t usually mount on SSH for anything else :slight_smile:

Use the Linux tools and then go on with this.

NFS and others don’t mount well in LXD, but via NC have been working OK… hence my hope to see NFS there.
