Exporting and restoring Desktop client settings

Hi all, Iā€™m wondering about any way to export and restore desktop client settings.

Why?

  • Customized client settings
  • Multiple Nextcloud accounts
  • Multiple Folder Sync Connections
  • Heavily customized ignores

Re-setting this up would be painful/ Any suggestions for a way to auto-restore client settings when migrating from Desktop A to Desktop B? Or moving from Linux to Windows client, etc.

Hello,

I have had the same question, so here it is:

on Win 10
find here:
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Nextcloud
the file:
nextcloud.cfg

On the new machine install Nextcloud without! connecting to the server, then close Nextcloud totally (no background work), and then simply copy the above file in the same place.
Run Nc, worked for me.
