Error after fresh installation of nextcloud 17

Hello,
I did a fresh install of nextcloud 17 today following this guide.
Server is running debian 9 with php 7.3.

After setting everything up as explained in the above tutorial, putting in my new admin user, password and database setting I get this screen:

the log from the data directory says this…

What can I do about this?
What more Information can I give you so you’ll be able to help me?

Thanks a lot !!! in adavance

Ben

EDIT:
I did another reload and put all the error messages from the one reload that were in nextcloud.log into this pastebin

I saw some guzzlehttp errors – no idea if thats the problem. I looked up guzzlehttp. On the website the requirements were listed:

  1. To use the PHP stream handler, allow_url_fopen must be enabled in your system’s php.ini.
  2. To use the cURL handler, you must have a recent version of cURL >= 7.19.4 compiled with OpenSSL and zlib.

http://docs.guzzlephp.org/en/stable/overview.html#requirements

I think when they talk about curl handler – possibly is the php-curl library. I don’t know your system but on bsd if youre using php7.2 it would be the following: https://www.freshports.org/ftp/php72-curl/.

If you are on linux you might want to search your repository (like with apt-cache search if debian based) and look for something like php-curl or similar.

Just a stab in the dark.
Lotta crap in that guide – make’s me tired looking at it.

Thank you for your answer, kevdog.
I enabled allow_url_fopen, also curl is compiled with OpenSSL and zlib.
But it didn’t change anything.

Because of your last sentence

Lotta crap in that guide – make’s me tired looking at it.

I decided to reinstall and this time use the official guide. I’m not really sure what I did differently this time, but now it works and I have a running version of nextcloud 17!
So, thanks for the heads up!

This is kinda solved, without really solving or understanding the underlying issue. Should I mark it anyway?

Thanks again!
And all the best!
Ben

I suppose you can mark it solved – Honestly I looked over some of the steps in that guide. I don’t agree with some of the steps, and I also wasn’t aware you could do some of the items that were suggested. On the items I could relate to however, I didn’t really agree with so I’m glad you reinstalled.
