I’m just guessing her, but could it be, that you havn’t set the correct permissions for your installation directory? I think “Client denied by server configuration” means that the webserver (the www-data user in Apache) doesn’t have the required permissions to access the file.

Hi,

The install script you use, changes the owner ship of most of the files/ folders to root. This is no longer suggested by Nextcloud developers because users run into issues much too often :wink:

We need to know now:

  • is this the first installation of NC or an upgrade
  • what is the correct path to your nextcloud installation
  • what is your web server user (http, www-data, …)
  • what is the output of
    ls -al /home/user/nextcloud

Assuming the following variables (web server user and path), this command could help maybe:

chown -R www-data:www-data /home/user/nextcloud
