Email Calendar Reminders - Synology

I have just got nextcloud installed on my synology disk station. Both are up to date running the current versions. I am trying to get email alerts working for the calendar and I am having a heck of a time.

I have installed the calendar and email apps. I can send email directly from the email app and that works fine. I cannot how ever get an email reminder to be sent for a calendar alert.

Does anyone know if this is even possible on a synology and if so, how?


Anyone have an idea on this?
