Documents not opening depending on how file is created

I am experiencing odd behaviour when opening documents on my nextcloud with OnlyOffice.

  1. CSV files do not open but are just display loading screen forever
  2. When creating a doc/xlsx file in an actual programme (excel, libre office, word, numbers etc… ) and uploaded, documents open fine.
  3. When creating doc/xlsx or any other file with touch via the terminal, files do not open but are just display loading screen forever

The biggest issue is that csv files do not work at all. I set OnlyOffice as default programme in the settings. I tested this on the community document server as well as on a self hosted document server, both with the same results.

Can anyone help me with this or anyone ever experienced this? Or is there any way I could troubleshoot this? I am running nextcloud v18, installed via snap.
