Scenario: I want to edit a document with many people (they are not an nextcloud user). I create a document and share it via public link. Now it would be great if they can visit the link and edit the document directly in the browser, the same way as I can do it.

It sounds a bit like you want something like Spreed’s “Guest” feature, where any user with a link, can use it to video call a specific NC user. Only here instead of video calling you, it would be editing your document.
