Hello everybody,
I am using Nextcloud AIO in a Proxmox VM, with my datadir being on an HDD.
For a reason that I don’t understand, every 5min, there are disk write operations (about 30kB), and it makes spin my HDD.

I tried to understand where it could come from. I have understood that it might be something related to Redis (not sure about this), but I don’t really know how to verify this, and if there is something to configure.
Thanks for your help!

It may be this yes! Now I have to figure out how to access the crontab when using AIO

Yes you’re right, it comes from the background jobs. For a reason that I don’t understand, I can’t change to AJAX, the modification doesn’t apply. Now I’m trying to understand what is the background job that is doing disk write access, but I’m struggling a bit with this

There are anywhere from ~50 to hundreds of background jobs internal to Nextcloud Server and/or associated with the various apps you may have installed or settings toggled on.

What is your underlying goal here?

It doesn’t sound like there is much I/O occurring. You seem concerned about drives being spun up, but you’re going to have a challenging time eliminating things entirely - after all it’s a _server_ not a workstation.

If that’s your real concern, I guess just shut your server down on between when you are using it?
