Disable versions for external storage

I would like to have versioning for my documents, but I store Music And Videos in AWS S3 buckets, and the versioning app also creates versions for those files, thus quickly exceeding the quota at my web hoster.

Is there a way to disable versioning for those folders? Or where should I submit a feature request for this?
