Deck - New Card Comment Text is lost with a click off the Card Details Panel

Summary of the issue you are facing:

When using the desktop-Deck-Card Details-Comments panel, text entered in the comment field is posted if I click the → or hit Enter, as expected but if I click outside the Card Details panel or click on some other Action like “…-Open in Sidebar View”, my unposted comments are discarded.

Sometimes this is a lot of text, as in a copy and paste or in a dictation situation.

Could a warning dialog be added to warn the text will be discarded and offer a confirmation “Yes” or “Post” to save the loss of text?

Everything else about handling comments seems to be working well - Thank You!

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. open a Card

  2. select the Comments Group

  3. create a comment with some text

  4. click off the Card Details panel

  5. The text has been discarded
