Tips for increasing the likelihood of a response

  • Use the preformatted text formatting option in the editor for all log entries and configuration output.
  • If screenshots are useful, feel free to include them.
    • If possible, also include key error output in text form so it can be searched for.
  • Try to edit log output only minimally (if at all) so that it can be ran through analyzers / formatters by those trying to help you.

Deck is not compatible with Nextcloud 32 yet.

Sad to say… but this is the usual situation with major Nextcloud updates :frowning: Every time a couple of apps are not ready when a new Nextcloud version is released.

Tip for the future: check in the admin UI which apps are supported, before you do an update - sometimes it takes a couple of weeks, before all apps are updated as well:

I had the same issue (Page not found) with several apps that officially are not compatible with Nextcloud 32. But I have made them work all of them. Not sure how, but what I did was disable and (re-)enable the apps, and there were some occ commands that were required according to Security & setup warnings and of course docker compose down and up, so far everything works fine, maybe most of the app continue to work!

Yes, you can alway allow apps even if they are not marked as compatible by their maintainers by clicking “Allow untested app” in the app management:

However keep in mind - this feature is intended for developers to test if their app still works or if there are any issues which need to be fixed. Some Nextcloud releases have major changes which can cause apps to fail, if their code is not updated accordingly. That’s the reason why not all apps are just allowed to be updated unless the app maintainers tested them and published an update which contains updated compatibility information.

Hello, I have the issue (Page not found) with the apps calendar and contacts. Both are loaded from the updatescript from the server with the occ command to update database. I think, the access to the folder may be incorrect. But I don’t know. I’m back to 31.

[Edit] I found out, that I have to restart the php-service after the installation from a new app. Than works it perfektly. I got the “Page not found”-error after the installation of the following apps: tasks, custom menu and notes.

Works for me (I upgraded to NC32 just yesterday). Had the 404 error at first. I guess the app was disabled. However, a browser cache clean, refresh or Ctrl-F5 helped.
And Deck 1.16.0 for NC32 has been release on the 29 sept: https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/deck/releases

However, for me, the issue might have been related to the App Store server issue, leading to the Deck app not beeing updated : After update to NC 32 -> App Store "gone"

I see the usual Nextcloud Update Clown Show happened (is happening) again…

I just updated mine - I’d been holding back until some of my apps were updated, but it doesn’t look like at least some of them ever will be (jitsi integration has a last update date of last year sometime.

But the list of apps with “incompatible versions” was MediaDC, Maps, Cloud Python (used by MediaDC) and Jitsi Integration. Just 4. I counted. I checked this several times over the last couple of weeks.

Imagine my shock, then, when halfway through the update, at the “Continue in the web based updater” step, I get told about 8 apps would be disabled due to “incompatible versions”, one of which, Deck, I absolutely depend on.

Deeply unimpressive.

I see that there’s been some cosmetic changes. shiny new buttons and the like.

How about making the f**king basics work properly first, eh, devs? Users and sysadmins should be given accurate information by the system.

I suppose I should be glad they finally fixed the log view so it doesn’t crash the browser in the last version… 30 revisions to get a functional user interface for the log. smh.

/Edited to add:/
Weirdly though, Deck appears to be working anyway, despite the warning that it would be disabled…

Sadly, Jitsi Integration is broken, but that’s not the NC dev’s fault. Just being fair.
NC Talk seems to have taken it upon itself to promote itself to the far left of the top row of icons… NOT where I told it to go on the other end. GOK why.

Lastly, Maps, despite being in the list I was warned had an “incompatible version” (that means lazy dev, btw) actually DOES work after the update.

I think I’ll wait for 33.0.2 when the time comes…

Huh. Jitsi integration just decided to start working. go figure. Nothing changed, I just clicked the wrong icon and it started.

By the time you posted to this solved topic there was an deck app version available for nc 32.

Your rant is not helpful.
