The Basics

  • Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):
    • 32.0.6
  • PHP version (e.g, 8.3):
    • 8.3.28
  • Hosted on netcup

Summary of the issue you are facing:

I am wondering what to configure as data directory. After update to 32.0.6 it was set to

/var/www/vhosts/hostingxxxx.xxxxx.netcup.net/nc.xxxxxxxxx.de/httpdocs/nextcloud/data

This was not working (getting an error in the UI that the data directory is not set correct). When modifying it to

/nc.xxxxxxxxx.de/httpdocs/nextcloud/data

(removing the first part)

it is working. However, any occ commands only work when the initial path is set. Otherwise I am getting

Cannot create “data” directory.

Any ideas what is configured wrong?
