Custom Portal Page Issues

Hey all,

I’m new to NextCloud and just started looking at an existing installation of NC14 for a client who’s been using it for a few years I think.

My client uses is to provide external users with authenticated access to branding assets like logo files.

Apparently when a user logs in, they should be directed to a custom portal-type page which helps them find the category and files they’re after. Apparently it worked like this until a few weeks ago, but not any longer.

Now it takes users to directly to https://ournextcloud.it/explore/apps/files/ instead.

Also, if I attempt to access the custom page URL myself, I’m immediately redirected to the sme URL mentioned above.

I’ve spent a few hours investigating the situation and have not learned much of use. So thought now is a good time to reach out and ask for assistance.

Has anyone heard of a custom page like this used with NC before and if so is there a place where IU can learn more about it?

Have they used the cms_pico app perhaps to create such a page ? How does the custom page link look like before it redirects?

Good question. I don’t know.

All I know is it’s PHP. And I’m not sure if the PHP page is hand written, I don’t think it is.

It could be something like cms_pico I guess. I’ll look into it.

One thing I can tell you is that when I open the PHP file it has all the portal-menu options in the code, not stored in a DB. Which suggests it’s hand written code, but does not mean it absolutely is.

Ah by link, did you mean URL?

The URL does not contain https://cloud.example.com/apps/cms_pico/pico/keyword/ if that’s what you’re thinking.

So it does not appear to be the Pico CMS app.

That means that it is the pico cms yes. Have they done any upgrades?

I use pico cms in my test lab. And it should work ok on nc14 and with modifications on nc15 (changing a line or two)
