Configure Locale in NextCloud Office/Collabra CODE Server

Hi there. Just installed NextCloud onto a new machine using the Collabra CODE Server for office work.

Now my xlsx-File is broken because the locale is “en-us” (should be “de-de”) changing the date-fields. I already changed the locale for that user but that does not seem to have any effect on this.

Is there a way to change the locale for the Office suite? (A global NextCloud - locale setting for all users would also be fine as all users use de-de locale)

Nextcloud version: 23.0.3
Operating system and version: Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS

Answering myself:
I fixed this problem by changing the Language of the user to german. So this is working for me now, but IMHO this should use the Locale instead

you can set a serverwide locale and NC would accept that as being default. Above to that you can set and even force different locales for your NC via the cofig.php - the manual knows exactly how to doing that… :wink:

Thanks. Seems to work. Still confused why the users language setting (and not the users locale) seems to change the number format if that setting is not set in config
