Tips for increasing the likelihood of a response

  • Use the preformatted text formatting option in the editor for all log entries and configuration output.
  • If screenshots are useful, feel free to include them.
    • If possible, also include key error output in text form so it can be searched for.
  • Try to edit log output only minimally (if at all) so that it can be ran through analyzers / formatters by those trying to help you.

in Collabora integration guide there is a section related to built-in collabora showing some prerequisites and referring github issues and other topics.

if you PHP is really 7.4 you obviously should upgrade first - it’s not supported anymore.

Bonjour Willy.
Cordialement

Hi Willy,
Sorry, I answered in french.
Thanks for your reply. Please could you tell me how to proceed to update my php version. I installed Nextcloud througn OpenMediavult docker compose. As OMV proposes all the update I thought to be OK.
I found different solutions through the web, so it would be fine if you could precise to me the good one.
Thanks in advance.
Didier

Hi Willy.
I just used: apt-get install php.
It is said that php is at the last version: (2:7.4+76).
I don’t understand!!

If you use docker php version should be ok as it is shipped by the image (review in admin settings)..
if OMV uses php74 internally it should be not a problem but still not good to have such old version in place.

Thanks for your comment. I am fighting to update OMV to version 7 and encounter other problems

But coming back to Collabora built-in Code server, please, do you see any reason why it fails to be installed?

did you check?

Hi Willi,
Sorry for the delay. I am just dealing with another problem to upgrade openmediavault and debian to version 8 and 13 respectively. As soon as the problem is solved, I will test Collabora again. In any case I will tell you. Thanks for your message.

Hi Willy,
I have just finished my upgrade to OMV 8.4.0-3 (Synchrony) and Linux 7.0.10+deb13-amd64.
I hoped it will solve mu CollaboraOn Line problem. But I have the same behaviour.
When I launch Innstallation, nothing happens.
Please have you any idea?

I’m sorry did you bother to read my message?

Hi Willi,
I am disappointed! As all my configuration (OMV, Debian and Nextcloud) is upgraded I thought to have no more Collabora problem.
In the help I found, it is proposed to put a command with occ. But occ is no more available with the Nextcloud Spring version! So I dont know what to do

When I try to install Collabora the integrated serverCODE, I have the following message:

I think in my case it would be simpler to use the Collabora on Line Built in server to use Collabora.
Please, have you any idea.

Hi Willi,
For information, the Collabora on Line Built in CODE server version is now 26.4.104 .

After looking to the Collabora integration guide, I am wondering if the source of the problem is the configuration of the nginx reverse proxy. Should I add some special comant to the nextcloud.subdomain.conf file or other? I installed Nextcloud with a compose docker stack yml file, with swag.

this is not true

nobody can tell you more as long you don’t share config files, complete the troubleshooting checklist and share results, together with logs

Sorry Willy, I don’t understand. I can open OCC application but no prompt appears. I just get an empty window. Please, I miss something?

I assume you are talking about occweb-app (as you reported in Pb with OCC with Nextcloud Hub 26 Spring (34.0.0)) - which is not a “real” command line occ and unsupported since ages:

:warning: Deprecated :warning:

As nextcloudd has no native support for asynchronous operations, due to the use of php, this aplication is deprecated, and will no longer support the Nextcloud’ future versions (19+). I did not find a way to implemement true support for interactive and long running occ tasks in a web terminal whitout introducing addtional dependencies (through websockets, for example), the lack of true asynchronous occ operations can lead to serious alterations of voluminous instances. This issue may give some hints on why I decided to not support this application anymore.

this seems to be a double post

Yes Scubamuc.
I though my problem with OCC (I confused with OCCWeb) and Collabora installation were two different problems. Willy clarified. I have to learn to apply occ command without OCCweb.

So remains to me, at least, a better understanding of how work containers and dockers. Since the beginning I am using OMV docker compose.

My goal now would be to install Collabora On line with a docker compose file. I try to understand:

I’m sorry @Didier91 we are not a “let me explain it to you” service - please search, read and educate yourself.

If you fail - tell us what you tried and what went wrong - share error messages, screenshots and as many details as possible.
