Clarification on nextclouds encryption features?

Hi, I’ve been looking through the forum and haven’t been able to get a clear idea about nextclouds encryption “features” and how accessible they are (easy they are to enable/install).
Ultimately I am hoping for protonmail type thinking in security (though not looking for email functionality in NC). That is, if I ran NC on a VPS could it be setup with end-to-end encryption so that the VPS provider could not see what was stored in it nor could anyone see what was being sent to it etc?

If you’re using local storage then no, enabling encryption will obfuscate the file contents but the filenames are still clear as day. I don’t recall, but it may be better with remote storage.
