Chronic log pollution

I have no support question and have seen the support category.

Which general topic do you have

I’ve been using Nextcloud for a while now and never had a server with a tidy log file.
Is it normal to always have some sort of errors appearing there? Even when not using exotic apps or configuration?

Yes, unfortunately yes. I use some extra apps, although none of the untested.

nope no logs here…:

I’m allergic to log errors :flushed:

I don’t mean the general overview but the main log under Admin Settings → Logging

same difference…

any logs in logging will be listed in “Overview”, that’s why its called “overview” :joy:

@Karl_Stadt note also, you can set your log level too. that way you’ll get to see what’s important to you… being allergic to “errors”, i like to see if i have “errors” or “fatal errors”. the rest is irrelevant for me personally:

Rather than speculate on hypotheticals, care to share some of the recurring entries you see? We may be able to help either address or eliminate them.

Also, logging varies by loglevel and ones definition of “exotic”.

In my case current scenario:

But there are also some of the errors due to my testing with the expiration date and password after my update to 30.0.3. And the connectionException is due to temporary problems after a sudo apt autoremove that removed me the php8.3-apcu php8.3-imagick causing Nextcloud to fail. - So IMHO not critical, but there are older entries which I did not investigate further:

It is always worse to search the forum and the internet

The No provider found for id account is related to Teams. It looks like it’s a known issue (nextcloud/server#48039) and there is also a linked PR with a possible fix undergoing review/testing at the moment.

The RelatedResourceProviderNotFound I guess is nextcloud/related_resources#362 (though you’d have to compare the full stack trace in it to be certain).

Thanks for mentioning the bug. I did not do research on this as all my major requirements work and and did not have the time to dig further into this.

Are there any other general topics about the log file?

Please do not deal with specific entries and issues here. The “Support” category and the appropriate template have been created for this purpose.

Will auto-close here.
