Changing the data HDD

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 25.0.2
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Debian 11
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): APACHE2
PHP version (eg, 7.4): PHP8.1

The issue you are facing:

I want to change the data HDD with another much greater (from 2TB to 6TB); I have the data disk mounted as external devices in /media/nc

Say the actual disk is /dev/sdb1 mounted in /media/nc; should I copy everything with rsync, and when it’s done, jus unmount the old disk /dev/sdb1 and mount the new (say /dev/sdc1) to the same mount point (was /media/nc)?

Am I correct or wrong?

Many thanks in advance, Nicola

So it works flawless, just changed (and updated) the fstab to mount the new phisical disk into the correct mount point and no problem at all

just a little note: I used the UUID to update the fstab
