This doc explains that the updater folder is always created as a subdirectory of the data folder. Can that be changed?

Even if it were changed from…
/updater-INSTANCEID/backups/nextcloud-CURRENTVERSION/
to
/updater/INSTANCEID/backups/nextcloud-CURRENTVERSION/
(replacing the dash to slash right after “updater”)
Basically, I want to move that folder to another location and I can’t even use a symlink because that folder is created on the fly each time. This messes with a data backup that I have running in the background via automation.
Why can’t the location be configured in the config.php file as a separate setting with it defaulting to the data folder for those that want it as-is?
