Can't find rsync success or fail log

The Basics

Nextcloud version : 28.0.11.1
Operating system and version : Armbian-unofficial 24.2.1 Bookworm \l . 6.6.18-current-bcm2711 (aarch64)
Apache or nginx version : Apache 2.4.62 (Debian)
PHP version : 8.1.29

Summary of the issue you are facing:

I can’t find wether my nc-rsync-auto was successful or failed, and I was not able to locate any log files for that… I looked in the /var/log, in the ~/data folder, in the journalctl thing…

Looking at the .sh script for the ncp-rsync-auto here : nextcloudpi/bin/ncp/BACKUPS/nc-rsync-auto.sh at master · nextcloud/nextcloudpi · GitHub

I don’t see that it’ll log anything (and maybe this .sh file is indeed not the right place to trigger a log).

So… Where can I see if the automation worked or not ?

Cause the files on the receiving Synology don’t seem to have been updated…

Also, subsequent question, is there a way to trigger an email not matter if success or fail for the rsync auto thing ?

EDIT : I found something in /home/[username]/rsynclog.txt

It confirms what I thought, only the manual rsync I made was successfull… Unless the rsync-auto logs elsewhere ?

If you start the command from terminal, does the output show any errors?
