The issue you are facing:
I have recently spun up a nextcloud instance on my homelab and am very happy with it. The only issue that I am facing is that when I delete files from a client via the desktop client on mac, they reappear almost instantly.
My company uses nextcloud as well and when I remove a file via the same client with my second account, I am not facing this issue.
Additionally, when I delete files via the web interface, I do not face this issue.
Because the issue does not appear when I delete the files via the web-client, I doubt that it is a file permission error. I have uninstalled, delete the folder and reinstalled the client with no success.
UPDATE
I am assuming it has to do with the experimental “files on demand” feature, as when I delete files that are locally available, it deletes them without an issue. Nonetheless, we also use this feature for our company and are not experiencing any issues like that.
