I just remembered there is a #🔮 Meta category for feedback. \[1\] So wanted to extract this request from another post I just wrote.

> For any nextcloud team/forum mods who happen to see this: I’d love it if the #🎉 Events & meetups category could be an actual events category with a calendar that we can subscribe to, containing all the nextcloud conferences, webinars and meetups. Easy enough to enable with the [Discourse events plugin](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-events/97376). 🙏 Or perhaps a nextcloud community calendar? Does such a thing exist already that I am not aware of?

The end goal here would be to have a calendar that can be subscribed to, so people in the community who are interested can follow along and attend events that are in their area or are accessible online. Two approaches that come to mind are to do it collaboratively here on the forum or by the nextcloud team in some more official capacity, using nextcloud.

Collaboratively might be easier/low key by just letting members here create topics in a category with the events calendar enabled. Would likely require some editing of event topics for clarity and consistency by mods, and to set up recurring events. I’ve done this on my own discourse site and am happy to share my experience with how this can look.

1. this category has been renamed to “site feedback” on newer sites - I remember working on that change a few years ago!
