Can i safely clean up the data/updater-xxxxxxxxxxxx/backup directory?

Hi all

it seems the automatic updating process creates backups of the current installation before the update is done. In /var/www/html/nextcloud/data/ if found this updater-oc3adbk1bw4r/backups directory, containing a couple of folders indicating being backups from earlier update processes. And eating quite some disk space for… nothing after the update process was successful?

So, can i remove them or should i keep them?

Thanks for your support and happy weekend!

You can safely delete it. There’s also a one-time backup job that is created after each Updater run that cleans up really old backups. Only the last three are kept.
