Can I delete these directories and files?

Raspberry Pi OS (Debian 12 - Bookworm)

I am seeing directories and files similar to:

• appdata_ockzc8xfj4af
• owncloud.db-shm
• owncloud.db-wal
• updater.log
• updater-ockzc8xfj4af
  in my data/ directory.

What are they? What do they do? Can I delete them?

As the filename sounds, the logfile from the updates, i would not delete it

This includes the downloads during the update as well as their backups

I have never deleted these folders, I don’t know if they are needed. In any case, I wouldn’t recommend it.

This are required for apps.

Are temp database files.
Depending on your database configuration, this could be outdated data, but normally it would no longer exist.

It’s pretty stupid that these folders and files are lying around between the normal users. Could perhaps have been done better.
