Calendar thinks Nov. 1 and Oct. 31 are same day

The Basics

  • Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):
    • AIO internally update to 32.0.6
  • Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04):
    • Ubuntu running Docker with AIO
  • Are you using CloudfIare, mod_security, or similar? (Yes / No)
    • No
  • Calendar 6.2.1

Summary of the issue you are facing:

I can not create an all day event for November 1st without also creating one for October 31. If I delete this linked date, and attempt to create a new one, when I click on the blank area where I would usually create the event, it gives a message “Event does not exist”, as though it was still linking to an event.

I can create a separate event with a schedule time. But the calendar now views Nov. 1 and Oct. 31 as the same date for all-day events.

When I switch to a different account (actually the admin account), I encounter the same error. This feels like someone programmed in the wrong number of days for October. But I suppose it could be a local corruption issue.

Are these dates causing problems for anyone else? If it’s corruption, how to fix the calendar database?

So, I think I’ve managed to fix it. Using the NC Calendar app on the phone I was able to do a true deletion of the weird double-date event, and then recreate it correctly. Then I synced it back to the local cloud.

Hopefully this fix will stick.
