Summary of the issue you are facing:
The issue is simple: I have a running setup, am able to open the web interface locally and remote, certs are valid, etc. but I am not able to connect my iphone calendar app to nextcloud Caldav url. I have found the docs how to configure (https://fqdn/remote.php/dav/principals/users/username/, using either the mailaddress or the username, with the normal password or an app password (for this purpose a new one created)). I have MFA enabled and I have the Nextcloud apps running on the phone using an app password.
