After upgrade the contact app on nextcloud 12.0.5 to version 2.1.0 , the contact list is not there. Round colored bubbels with a black text inside is in place.
Deinstall and newe install of the app brings no solution
I don’t see the problem there. Looking very good to me, and very colorful
There were some changes in version 2.0.0:
Addressbook list design improved #101
Okay, sorry! Just kidding.
Getting serious again: do you see this alignment issue only for the contacts app or can you see any other parts in Nextcloud where content is not displayed properly?
It looks like an CSS issue at the first look.
You updated the app as admin user via the web gui of your nextcloud server, right? Or was it a manual update from the github repository?
Could you check the file and folder permissions under [nextcloud directory]/apps/contacts that they match your other permissions?
Can you please open the browsers debug console (CTRL + SHIFT + K), reload the web page (CTRL + R) and look for error messages in the browser console? Please post any error messages here.

The permissions of the app directory:
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Feb 8 08:03 config
drwxr-x— 12 root root 4096 Jan 21 16:35 extra-apps
But if I will change to the “extra-apps” directory, I have no permission.
It is a little bit crazy because on my server ther are more than one nextcloud directory.
You can ignore these two messages. They are benign:
This message seems serious however and you would need to look into that:
Either some data can’t be found or not be accessed. Maybe an issue with missing permissions on the folders?
Please provide the output of ls -la
for your current and active nextcloud folder. I don’t know anything about snap (sorry), so I have no idea what your current folder is.
You can probably find out by ls -ltr /var/snap/nextcloud
or ls -ltr /var/snap/nextcloud | tail -1
It might be the folder with latest creation/ modify time.
However I would like to see the permissions for the whole folder
I have found the data directory , but I have no permission
schluchtadmin@nextschlucht:/$ sudo find -name nextcloud.log
./var/snap/nextcloud/common/nextcloud/data/nextcloud.log
schluchtadmin@nextschlucht:/$ cd /var/snap/nextcloud/common/nextcloud/data
-bash: cd: /var/snap/nextcloud/common/nextcloud/data: Keine Berechtigung
thanks, an allways displayed error
Error lib ResourceLocator can not find a web root (root: /var/snap/nextcloud/5132/nextcloud/extra-apps/contacts, file: index.php/css/contacts/2e6bf80f0e023764c673ec67fe29a45c-style.css, webRoot: , throw: true)
maybe it make more sense if I make a new installation with nextcloud 13, because the current installation is a snap Version.
Is nextcloud 13 gold or still beta?
