BUG: File renaming stuck on Windows client v3.13.0

I have two Nextcloud servers, running versions v24.0.6 and v26.0.12. I am using Windows client version v3.13.0.

I have found a bug where when I create a new file in the client, it syncs correctly to the server. However, if I then rename the file on the client, the change does not sync to the server, and the client displays a message saying that file synchronization is pending. This issue does not occur if I use the older client version v3.12.2.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new file in the Nextcloud client.
  2. Rename the file.
  3. Observe the message displayed in the client.

Expected behavior:

The renamed file should be reflected on the server, and the client should not display any error messages.

Actual behavior:

The original filename is still displayed on the server, and the client displays a message saying that file synchronization is pending.

Additional notes:

  • I have tried this on two different Nextcloud servers with the same results.
  • I have reinstalled the client multiple times.
  • I have tried using different file names.
  • The issue does not occur with client version v3.12.2.

Please let me know if you are able to reproduce this bug. I would appreciate any help in getting this fixed.

I have also included some additional information that may be helpful:

  • My operating system is Windows 10.
  • I am using the Nextcloud desktop app.
  • I have enabled logging in the client, but I am not sure how to interpret the logs.

I hope this is helpful! Please let me know if you have any questions.

At least there is already a ticket on GitHub:

Thank you, you have given me hope of solving the problem.

Yes, but that one is a duplicate, the main issue is handled here:
