The Nextcloud desktop client under Linux shows a strange behavior. Whenever I download a file in the browser, the Nextcloud sync client starts automatically.
Is this a bug or can it be deactivated somewhere?

Maybe this: [Bug]: Client autostarts even if autostart is disabled · Issue #6182 · nextcloud/desktop · GitHub or this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/17j1tou/nextcloud_keeps_autostarting_how_to_stop_it/ will provide some clues as to what might be causing it.
But to be honest, I don’t see any good reason not to have the client running all the time. I mean, only then changes to files will be synchronized immediately, which will also help to avoid version conflicts, e.g. because you have edited the same file from another device in the meantime.
But I suppose you have your reasons for doing it that way, which we don’t necessarily need to discuss here.
