# BORG backup after NC domain name change

Hello! I use nextcloud AOI successfully for a while and I’m satisfied with functionality and stability.

I have to change the domain name of the instance soon. I will do that according to the guide in the documentation here: [GitHub - nextcloud/all-in-one: 📦 The official Nextcloud installation method. I am wondering if this will break my already exisiting BORG backup. Because it’s incremental, if I let it run after the domain change, it will be based on existing backups from another domain name. Is this problematic? I don’t want to run into problems if I should ever run into the need to restore and not being able to.

No, it is not. It will save the changed files correctly.
